First, I apologize to those of you who wrote in to point out that I missed the funniest part of the GOP campaign. Rape.

So, a few words about Rape. We have been against rape here at the Absurd Times — let us make that clear.

Now, our first encounter with it during the campaign came from the owner of the Chicago Cubs (that is funny in itself) who said that the best birth control is an aspirin, between the woman’s knees.
Next came the announcement from the Republican member of the House of Representatives’ Science Committee. He embodies the Tea Party’s concept of Science. See, women can not get pregnant from legitimate rape (yes, illegitimate rape, but not illegitimate rape) because their fallopian tubes go spastic and thus prevent conception. He got this information from a doctor who testified somewhere, but who has since repudiated his own claims.
But see, that don’t matter. As the Republican from Indiana pointed out, a child from rape is a part of God’s plan, or a gift from God — so we should say thank you.
Now this is the same group that believes that the earth is 6,000 years old and that the floods, Hurricanes, and disasters recently on the East Coast are God’s punishment for homosexuality.
Today is the UN day to recognize Malilia, the girl in Pakistan shot by the Taliban. Bad Taliban. Trouble is, we have our own Taliban when it comes to religious attitudes — only they are called the Tea party.

Below, we have articles on Sandy and Occupy Wall Street as well as our idiotic attempts to overthrow the government in Syria.

Also, the right-wing idiots tried to get Benghazi-gate started (Most of them think of the name as a TV doctor).

The head of our CIA quit because he needed to spend more time with his mistress. Betray-us is the first CIA chief to resign for activities that had no effect on his job.
